LOCAL RULES

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 18.2)
(a) Is defined by white stakes or painted lines. When painted lines and
white posts are both present, the line defines the boundary and the
stakes indicate its position.
(b) Beyond all hedges, fences, walls defining the boundaries of the Course.
(c) Internal: White stakes on the 18th hole. Stakes are boundary objects
during play of this hole (No free relief). For all other holes they are
immovable obstructions.
(d) Clubhouse area, practice putting green and car park.

2. PENALTY AREAS (Rule 17)
Penalty areas are defined by yellow/red stakes and/or yellow/red lines.
When the edge of a penalty area is defined by lines or by physical features,
stakes may be used to show where the penalty area is, but they have no
other meaning.

3. ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS (Rule 16.1)
Ground under repair is defined by any area encircled by a white line and is
a no play zone. Free relief must be taken under Rule 16.1f.

4. INTEGRAL OBJECTS
The following are deemed integral objects (from which free relief is not
allowed):
a) Walls on left and right of approaches to 5th and 15th greens;
b) Fences to the left and behind 13th green, fence within hazard near
6th green;
c) Winter greens when not marked as GUR;
d) Artificial liners on base of bunkers.

5. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 16.1)
Examples include but are not limited to: All prepared roads/pathways, tee
box walls, sprinkler heads, manhole/drain covers, discs on fairways, bell
posts, artificial tees/mats, etc.
Relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken under
Rule 16.1. The player also has these extra options to take relief when such
immovable obstructions are close to the putting green and on the line of play:
Ball in General Area. The player may take relief under
Rule 16.1b if an immovable instruction is: on the line of play,
and is: within two club-lengths of the putting green, and
within two club-lengths of the ball.
Exception - No Relief If Line of Play Clearly Unreasonable.

6. PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES
The young trees identified by wooden stakes are no play zones:
If a player's ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a
penalty area and it lies on or touches such a tree or such a tree
interferes with the player's stance or area of intended swing the
player must take relief under Rule 16.1f.

7. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE:
General Penalty (Strokeplay: 2 strokes; Matchplay: Loss of hole)

8. ADDITIONAL LOCAL RULES may be displayed on the
Local Rules Notice Board outside the Pro-Shop.
